RE: ladder mount bike rack?
Did for quite a while on class'C'. Just snugged 'em up close & tight(rack slipped over top step 2 arms out)high enough to be out of the way of the tail lites. Ran that way for years no problems. Then bot new bikes and center frame cofiguration not the same - wont hang. Now use rack on top of toad if need to take.
RE: Taking AUX lite out side
rrupert, Thanks that is what I thought - but bet your RadioShack is a tad brighter than mine. Ask just the scenario you described, the feller mumbled and shuffled and told me I better go to the dealer as were special plugs and lamps!!! & I might blow up the RV. How about that???? Think I'll try a different store. THANKS again, K
Taking AUX lite out side
Have 2006 Fleetwood Evolution 'neon'. Have aux fan/lite that plugs into o/head lite fixture - looks similar to 'RCA' jack. As quarters are really tight inside x/small PUP would like to make fan/lite portable to use outdoors. Can't find right kind of adapter to go to reg 12v(cig.liter)receptical. Anyone out there with one of these 'beasties' have any ideas. Dealer is no help at all. THANKS, K
RE: "Amateur" vs/ "Professional" RV'ers
White vs. Garden. I would have died many long years ago or maybe even last month. Just let 'er run 'til she gets cold and take a swig.
RE: Ants
DutchmenSport -- where do you get the dried molasses?? Have ants(S&B) and dogs, would love to find something safe to use around pets. THANKS, K
RE: Battery questions for dry camping for 4 days.
Maybe not much in total scheme of things - but usually use small battery(AA) type of nite-lite/lamp. Furnace is a real power grabber. That is a lot of usage for one battery of ANY size. JMHO
RE: Winnebago windsheild fans
My windshield fans don't rattle at all - glad I have 'em on 'steamy' days. My back-up monitor is integral part of dash assy. (2007Sunova)
RE: Portable AC
Like the look of that GIZMO sure would extend the season(s) for my PUP. Only has one bunk end(other end is door/wall). Thanks for the link.
RE: leveling jacks vs. leggos
Made a bunch of H.D.(1 1/8" plywood) blocks (8" x varying lengths) as levelers for old class'C' -no jacks. Still carry in 'A'even tho' has hyd jacks as often st./fed. CG's pretty 'unlevel' sites - especially side to side. Have paired 'em up front & back on low side(wheels & jacks proportionally) to keep tires from becoming 'airborne' on down hill side. Seems to me the MH should still think it is on dirt. Anyone????
RE: Got some bad water - how to clean fresh water tank...
Use the bleach first(sanitize) flush & drain(sometimes more than once). Then some white vinegar into fresh water tank to get rid of bleach taste. Run it thru the pipes - let it rest - then flush 'er out. A little residual vinegar o.k.- like a little lemon in your drinking water.
RE: Any experiences with Metacam, how about long term too?
Our DoxieX recently did her back an unkindness - was is quite a bit of distress. After X-rays showed some arthritic degeneration about the shoulder area of spine was on course of prednisone. Much better but still not completely herself again - Vet put her on Metacam once a day - after a month or so is doing well enough is not currently needed. As long as she is pain free will not give - if she starts showing symtoms(hiding-grumpy-tail down-not hungry)the pain is back I'll start giving it to her again. Vet said o.k. long term on as needed basis. Good luck - hope she gets feeling better.
